Introduction
After each section of the book you read, you will hold a discussion with your small group. Your teacher will give you a specific question to discuss, which will change with each section you read.

In this module, you will learn to hold a video discussion with your group members. You will also practice one discussion and receive feedback from your teacher. Click here to see how groups are formed as well as guidelines for each member's role.

Do
Before participating in your own video discussion, choose two (2) of the previous example videos. As you watch, fill out the accompanying Google Form to analyze the participants' video etiquette. The form asks you to use the 3-2-1 strategy and look for:
-
3 things the participants did well
-
2 things you want to make sure you do in your own video
-
1 thing you want to make sure to avoid in your video
Connect & Evaluate
After analyzing the videos above, work with your group to prepare for a discussion over "The Latehomecomer", the short story we read together in class.
You will answer the question: How does the character change from the beginning of the story?
When you are ready, use this Flipgrid link and record your discussion. Your discussion should last no longer than five (5) minutes and must be completed no later than January 24th, 2019. She will provide feedback on your video discussion based on this rubric during your conference.
